From Tia Ward from The Westin Ottawa… This styled shoot was a culmination of all of the great things I had either seen or hoped to see in weddings at The Westin Ottawa, with a little of my personal style and flair added in. We are lucky enough to have beautiful ballroom spaces that can be transformed into just about anything, and I wanted to show that it was possible to create a timeless and romantic wedding within our very contemporary space.
Our beautiful couple, Michelinne and Darren, were actually married on our rooftop terrace last September. While planning their wedding, we had so much fun and so they were the obvious choice for the shoot. The White Dress graciously provided the stunning lace Oscar De La Renta gown, and Flowers Talk created elegant floral accents, including the bride’s bouquet black broaches and feathers to tie together the whole black, white, and champagne color scheme.
Hair and makeup by Noah was perfectly styled to complement the soft, timeless, romantic feel. Joel Bedford, our photographer for the shoot, captured my vision beautifully, including the stunning lace table linens which were suggested and provided by Details Ottawa. In order to really pull the idea together, Party Time Rentals supplied the chandeliers, chiavari chairs, charger plates, and the beautiful chest of drawers that held the cupcakes artistically designed by The Cake Whisperer. And, of course, no wedding is complete without stationary; Inky Design always delivers creative and inspiring ideas, and graciously worked with me to create menus, place cards, and table numbers that fit seamlessly into our shoot. It is such a dream to work with such talented vendors on a regular basis.
