From the Bride… Our wedding was truly a labor of love! My then-fiance and I are both young actors, so we of course had no money to throw the kind of wedding we had always dreamed of. Luckily, with a little ingenuity, a lot of creativity, and generosity from so many people (including our vendors) we were given a day more perfect than we ever could have hoped for.
Our wedding took place at Neverland Farms in north Georgia, a peaceful, idyllic paradise of rolling meadows, gentle breezes, and stunning foliage almost year-round. As soon as we saw it, we knew we wanted to be married there. Suzy Tebor, the owner, opened her heart to us, and her farm. She took care of all of the details of the venue, including the incredible food. My dress was purchased secondhand, the invitations were handmade, and our florist was a dear family friend.
These details helped cement the notion that this day was, for us, not about how much my dress cost or at what “exotic” location our honeymoon was spent (we spent a quiet, long weekend in a cabin in Helen), but about our love, and the love of our family and friends. So much love went into making our day possible, and that’s what we felt. I hope you enjoy a tour of our day, and are inspired to find ways to make your own dream day come true!
