From the Bride…Our wedding day was truly magical – full of love, happiness, beauty, family, and friends.  It was everything that we dreamed of, and much much more.  While it was a whirlwind of activity, we soaked in each and every moment and were filled with joy the entire day. We both fell in love with Holman Ranch at first site, similar to how we fell in love with each other.  Holman Ranch offered the perfect balance of sophistication and natural beauty.  We knew that guests coming from both the east coast and the west coast would find it to be a unique setting.  We wanted a venue that provided an ambiance of “simple elegance” and Holman Ranch satisfied that wish.

We owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to our amazing team of vendors who helped make our wedding spectacular.  Our wedding coordinator, Amy Byrd, was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process.  She was organized, attentive to details, and was very familiar with Holman Ranch which helped with the numerous wedding decisions during planning.  We had a lot of unique elements, such as a place for guests to write well wishes and escort cards wrapped around a tree; Amy made this all happen.  We didn’t worry about the flow the entire wedding day because we knew that Amy had it all under control.

Our caterer, Annie, of Taste of Elegance was a joy to work with as well!  Annie was so excited to help with many of our special touches such as the welcome drinks before the ceremony and our signature mojito cocktails (what we had on our first date) after the ceremony.  For the cocktail hour, Annie’s team created Nick’s pick & Kari’s pick appetizers, action appetizer stations with quesadillas and artichokes, and then later during dancing, the guests were treated to a late night snack of French fries.   Homemade cookies with attached thank you notes, and to-go cups from a coffee station “brewed with love” were handed out as our guests left.  Annie went above and beyond helping with all of these details and the guests loved the delicious and unique food her team made.

We cannot say enough about the spectacular flower design created by Kym England at Fleurs du Soleil.  We wanted a color palate of beautiful purple and cream flowers with a touch of brown and interesting texture.  Kym was a master at bringing this vision into a reality and found the most gorgeous flowers and succulents to accent the natural beauty of Holman Ranch.  A simply elegant atmosphere was achieved with amazing flowers, hanging lanterns, and beautiful table linens. Dancing was an important part of our wedding and we were so glad that we got to work with the Steve Ezzo band!  Ann and Steve Ezzo met with us several times to make sure the flow of announcements and music was clear.  The band even learned a new song for our first dance and played all of our requested songs.  Everyone loved the music and the energy of the six piece band.

When we first saw Carlie Statsky’s photos, we knew that we wanted her to be our wedding photographer.  We were immediately drawn to the soft nature of her photos and her ability to capture moments with an artistic touch.  We had a blast exploring our home town for our engagement photos and she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.  Then at the wedding, Carlie was there at every special moment and even “stole” us away for some sunset photos overlooking the gorgeous vineyard landscape.  Every one of Carlie’s photographs tells a story and is a piece of art; we are forever grateful that we will have her pictures to relive our wedding day over and over again for many years to come. Oh and how can we ever forget the bobble head!  We ordered a custom made bobble head to place on top of our cake from Patisserie Bechler.  This decoration looked amazingly like the bride and groom because it was crafted from real life photos of the couple.  The combination of an elegant cake with this unique bobble head was the perfect balance of sophistication and fun, and led to a lot of smiles during the evening.
