From Twinkle Twinkle Little Party … I was planning a Valentine’s Day Styled Shoot when my friend photographer Sky decided to invite me to style a whole setting for her cousin, David, who had just proposed to his beautiful girlfriend, Stephanie. I was thrilled. It would be a challenge as I have been working primarily with kid-friendly events.

Sky chose a beautiful green location in Brandon and she thought the end of the afternoon would be just perfect for an outdoor photoshoot. She is very familiar with the location, so I knew I just had to trust her. The sun was still shining and the soft breeze made our afternoon even more pleasant.

David and Stephanie make such a beautiful loving couple and I could see the excitement as they make plans to get married in November. The smiles, laughs and the way they looked at each other during the session seemed so genuine – such a lovely couple to work with! I feel honored I had the opportunity to style something special and romantic to celebrate their engagement.

I decided to go with soft tones of blue and green, red and soft pink. I designed the heart balloon printable collection to represent the theme chosen “Love is in the Air.”

The vendors got so excited when they learned they were going to design something special for a couple who had just got engaged!

The cake artist, Dreama, of Dream Cakes, Florida designed a cake inspired by a Valentine’s Day cake I found via Pinterest. I thought the idea of a floating balloon would be perfect to coordinate with the stationery. I absolutely loved the final result.

Vanilla cupcakes were dressed up with mini French Macarons and placed in Valentine’s day inspired cupcake liners.

Mini parfait glasses were filled with layers of vanilla cake and swiss meringue frosting with a heart-shaped dessert spoon attached and decorated with Valentine’s Day-inspired ribbon. Mini french macarons were placed on top of each mini parfait glass.

Ruffled Cake Pops decorate with super mini hearts and cake balls added the extra romantic touch to the dessert table.

Organic chocolate covered cookies by Earth and Sugar decorated with edible red ribbon added a simple yet sophisticated feeling.

I dressed up mini milk shot glasses with a heart cut-out and wire to translate the theme “Love is in the air.”  I also made a garland with over 250 mini hearts we used as a backdrop – an easy and inexpensive DIY idea.
