One thing is for certain, Sunstone Winery Villa needs a little visit from yours truly as soon as humanly possible. Because after soaking up every last gorgeous detail of this sunlit shoot dreamt up by Davia Lee Events and captured by Danielle Capito Photography – I do declare it’s one of the dreamiest places to say I do. Want to see why? Take one little peek at all the pretty in this gallery.
From Davia Lee Events… The Villa at Sunstone is one of those venues you will get lost in. You could spend hours aweing over the details from the breath-taking views to the detailed ironwork. As soon as you begin driving up to the Villa, you feel as if you are traveling back in time and arriving at an estate nestled in a French valley.I wanted to create a modern romance that would still compliment the old world feel of the villa. I knew I wanted to create a glamorous, natural environment that was inviting and organic to play off of the sustainability of Sunstone. The Villa is made from over than 80% reclaimed materials that were shipped over from France and designed and built by the parents of the current owner. Nestled in the Sunstone Vineyard, which is an organic estate vineyard, and sitting atop a bluff overlooking the river valley in Santa Ynez.
To play off of the surrounding beauty I began with a trip to Embellish Vintage Rental. Here I hand selected gold details in the plates, glassware, and table accents. I knew I wanted to create a seamless look from proposal to rehearsal dinner and finishing with the wedding ceremony & reception. We wanted to show the diversity of the property while keeping the vision seamless.
I knew the old oak tree overlooking Sunstone Winery at the Villa would be the perfect setting for a proposal. We wanted to create a naturally beautiful backdrop that just enhanced the setting by hanging copper lanterns throughout the tree. The finishing touch was then placing an old marble table under the tree with two toasting glasses, a beautiful arrangement and of course the diamond ring! We then created a rehearsal table setting within the property’s courtyard overlooking the Santa Ynez Mountains The vision for this table was to continue the organic feel by using succulents and lush green & white blooms to create an effortless look for the table.
Throughout the day, we all fell so much in love with the lanterns in the tree and the way they played off the light that we decided to move the ceremony location up under the tree as well. It was an absolutely stunning setting that complimented the simplicity of the property. We then headed down to the winery for a dramatic cave reception table setting. The cave was the perfect setting to play with the lighting and create a table design completely of candles. I wanted to use the drama of the candlelight to play up the stonework.
Throw in a gorgeous couple head over heels in love and it was the perfect inspiration to a romantic take on a organic wedding.
