At first glance, this wedding is gorgeous. No question. But take an even closer look and you’ll find a story of incredible strength and unfailing love. A love that perserved through the bride’s devastating diagnosis and treatment of stage 4 cancer, and came out stronger in the end. It’s the kind of love that deserves a wedding so beautiful, SO special that only a team of extra talented vendors like Bethany Belle, Brier Rose Design and Unlimited Thought Productions could pull it off. And the best news of all? This courageous bride was able to celebrate the day cancer free and crazy in love. (Now if that’s not something worth celebrating, I don’t know what is!) From Brier Rose Design…Kelsey and Samer were such an amazing couple and such a great dynamic together. I wanted to incorporate both of their passions and love for life that jumped out at you. They both love to travel so I chose the Atlas Map for guests to ‘Sign in on places they have traveled or would like to’ ! I also used a pedestaled glass bowl to house a secret stash of blueberries for the groom because he told me they were his ‘absolute favorite snack’. It helped that they fit into the color scheme too! I loved the color scheme representing all the soft pinks as Kelsey feminine and strong and navy for Samer masculine and warm. The gold representing purity and luster for life they displayed together. Their color schemes was one of my all time favorites. It was a special request of the bride to add a more personal touch to the wedding by having me hand write all the guest escort card tags. Their love for healthy and organic diet inspired me to use fresh herbs in the arrangements and bouquets.” In lieu of party favors, the couple gave a donation to Livestrong and each guest got a Livestrong bracelet to take home. The last part of the detail I want to add is that the centerpieces were hand made by Collette and her husband and each one had a different word from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 on it…. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
