Modern Chicago Greenhouse Loft Wedding by Christy Tyler Photography + Five Grain Events
Crisp, clean loft weddings get me every.single.time. I just adore them. So this Greenhouse Loft wedding captured by Christy Tyler Photography? SO up my alley. It's understated yet perfectly refined, letting the couple in the middle of it all truly shine. Five Grain Events was on hand to make sure the entire day was beyond perfect, and one peek at the gallery and you'll see that they succeeded and then some.
Morgan and Brady’s wedding day started for the ladies at the lovely Hotel Palomar where Andie Cumber and Livia Caporale worked their magic. Brady and his groomsmen got dapper in a gorgeous suite at Trump International Hotel & Towers. Joan, of Five Grain Events, was on hand to coordinate the day's logistics.
Rain was a constant concern in the days leading up to that Saturday, but Brady and Morgan lucked out and were able to do their first look outside. The resulting photos, expertly captured by James and Christy of Christy Tyler Photography, really show off the glow that both the bride and groom carried all day! After the first look, the bridal party headed around town for some group shots at some iconic Chicago locations.
Morgan’s inspiration for the day was a neutral palate–nothing overly showy or trendy–and Greenhouse Loft was the perfect place for that. The blond wood, floor-to-ceiling windows, and warm lighting hardly needed anything to make it feel dressed up for a wedding. Morgan chose to line the aisle with paper poms and Pollen’s simple arrangements framed the altar. The couple wanted some unique pieces played during the processional and ceremony, and Artistrings executed their requests beautifully!
The meal was definitely one of the best parts of this occasion. FIG Catering offered guests an arugula salad with sliced fresh figs, bleu cheese and hazelnuts followed by a choice of whole roasted chicken with lemon and herbs or braised short ribs. It really felt like a meal one might prepare for a dinner party at home–only perfectly executed and without all the cleanup!
Morgan and Brady knew that their crowd would be a rowdy one, and wanted to get the dancing portion of the reception going as quickly as possible. Final Say totally rocked out the dance floor–guests couldn’t believe that they were listening to live music and not a recording!
Dessert was served buffet-style once dancing began and featured a simply beautiful cake by Amy Beck supplemented with some of FIG’s world-renowned dessert bites. It was a glorious day for all involved!
