Overflowing with pretty. That’s this gorgeous wedding described in three little words. It would take a million little words to really do this wedding (prettied up to perfection by Pryor Events) justice, but those three will paint a perfect picture of what you are in store for. It’s made that much better because you get to see it all unfold through the talented lens of Amy & Stuart Photography, and it’s all sitting pretty right here.
Need more of this gorgeous day? Of course you do. And thanks to Custom | Made Productions, you’ll get just that…
From Julie Pryor from Pryor Events… Molly and Eric were married at a private golf club in the intimate desert town of La Quinta. Molly’s family have been members of this legendary club for many years. The golf club is quite unique. In addition to being set in a breathtaking location, it has the distinction of being an historic landmark. The wedding ceremony took place amongst the thousands of colorful blooms and the couple exchanged vows under a structure constructed from antique wood adorned with curly willow and vines.
The feel of the wedding was an eclectic mix of refined English country with just a touch of vintage chic. Everything was important to Molly from the etched crystal glassware and French linen napkins to the custom chandeliers suspended from the trees. At the same time we were careful to keep the feel of the wedding comfortable and understated. Guests dined at long vineyard tables which were constructed on-site. The high backed chairs looked as if they belonged in the dining room of an estate. Flowers were a mix of vibrant colors – burgundy & raspberry dahlias, seeded eucalyptus berries, purple lisianthus, brown monkey tail, ranunculus, mini hydrangea, mini artichokes and rich grapes.
Wooden potting benches served as bars and seating cards were displayed amongst tiny succulents on wooden trays. Framed art and pillows from the bride’s home added to the intimate feel of the wedding. Hand chosen furniture with colorful pillows and subtle lighting created an intimate lounge adjacent to the reception. Vintage lanterns were suspended from the trees in the surrounding courtyards. Guests danced under a star filled desert sky. They were pleasantly surprised by live drummers who were brought out later in the evening.
While Molly and Eric are passionate about golf, we were careful not to bring in too many elements of golf. Guests enjoyed Arnold Palmers in honor of the famed golfer who designed the golf course at this club. In lieu of signing a traditional guest book, guests signed a coffee table book on Tradition Golf Club. A page was left blank for Mr. Arnold Palmer to personalize to the newlyweds.
