From the Bride...When Andy and I got engaged we knew right away that we wanted to get married in the town we love and live in: Aspen, Colorado. Our challenge was figuring out how to pull off a budget wedding in a place synonymous with wealth and glamour. It took a lot of DYI and using all the connections we had, but we pulled off a wedding for 150 people for a lot less than it looked. Finding vendors that were just starting out was the biggest help-they were flexible and worked twice as hard.

I wanted the wedding to be modern with a very laid back feeling to it. We decided early on that nothing should feel stuffy or forced, which is why we had the bartenders dress up like Harry & Lloyd from Dumb&Dumber--huge hit! Most of all we wanted our guests to have fun so we had an enclosed photo booth (people do funny/scandalous things when no one is watching), vespas for guests to ride and an after-party with late-night philly cheese steaks, since my husband is originally from Philadelphia.
