San Francisco Four Seasons Wedding from Sloan Photographers
From the Bride... San Francisco was the perfect backdrop for our June wedding. We currently live in Arizona but Dan is from Cleveland and I am originally from the San Francisco area. Out of the three, San Francisco was the obvious choice to host our watercolor themed wedding. The majority of our guests were out-of-towners and many of them stayed the week to enjoy all that the city has to offer.
Before we had even decided on our venues we hired event designer Therese Jacinto of Therese Jacinto Designs. We instantly hit it off and shared a similar design aesthetic. Therese and I decided to create a light and airy space with watercolor florals and details with white and grey accents. I wanted the large ballroom and veranda to feel comfortable and inviting to our guests. I didn’t want the room to look too uniform so we mixed glass topped round tables with white, rectangular tables topped with grey table runners from La Tavola. Therese doubled as our florist and provided the most breathtakingly beautiful watercolor arrangements of hydrangeas, peonies, spray roses, mums and lisianthus in mercury glass vases of various sizes and shapes.
I wanted our guests to spend as much time admiring the views from the veranda as they did dancing and celebrating inside the ballroom. With cooperative weather Therese was able to transform the expansive veranda into a lounge area with grey velvet couches and glass tables from Hartmann Studios. The perfect location for our guests to enjoy freshly hand rolled cigars from our cigar bar.
Playing off of the watercolor theme, Therese came up with the idea to have our guests collaboratively paint a blank canvas. The canvas painting was a huge hit with our guests, especially the kids! Kids were an important part of our wedding; we had three ring bearers and three flower girls. It was very important to us that the kids had as good of a time as the adults so Therese created the most adorable children’s table complete with mini chiavari chairs and personalized gift bags filled with toys and activities.
The final touch was our milk and cookies bar. I wanted to thank our guests with a late night snack and milk and cookies seemed the perfect choice to compliment the cozy atmosphere we had created. The guests enjoyed the milk and cookies bar so much that there weren’t any leftovers for Dan and I!
We truly created a dream team of vendors, from unbelievably creative Therese, to the most talented photography husband and wife duo of Sloan Photographers, to event coordinator Leslie Campbell of Let’s Celebrate who insured that the day ran like a well-oiled machine. Our day would not have been as perfect as it was had we not had the very best vendors the city has to offer. I can truly say that our wedding was exactly as we had envisioned. There was not a single detail that was not thought of, it was as perfect as a wedding could be. It was beautiful, true to who we are as a couple, and full of love from friends and family. We are currently expecting our first child, a daughter, and I can only hope she has a wedding as magical as ours.
