Modern mingles with tradition in this Long Island City soiree from one of our favorites, Judy Pak. And while there’s a million and one things to love about this day, it’s the sense of understated chic, not to mention that Funfetti wedding cake, that had me at hello. See every stunning moment from beginning to end in the full gallery here.
From the Bride…My husband, Richard, and I met over ten years ago and have been dating for about six of those years. We knew from the first day we met that we were meant to be together. Our first trip together was to France, and we just fell in love with the city. Five years after our first trip there, Richard took me back and proposed in Paris, so our wedding had a little bit of a French influence. We chose the metropolitan building in Long Island City, Queens, because we felt it was such a unique venue, with antique furniture, vintage pieces, romantic style and amazing lighting. My personal favorite part of the wedding had to have been a) our crazy first dance to bruce springsteen’s “no surrender” and b) our momofuku milk bar funfetti wedding cake. This day was something both of us reflect on all of the time – it was truly the best day of our lives!
