From the Bride... We tried not to have a cookie-cutter wedding and incorporated our interests and loves into the wedding, even if it might not make sense to others! For example, due to my obsession with Lord of the Rings, I HAD to have my ring bearer dress up as Frodo, THE ultimate Ring Bearer. While my friends warned me against doing so (since it didn't tie in with our theme nor did I have anything else LotR-related in the wedding), I still went with it because, well, I loved the idea! There really is no right or wrong way to plan and execute a wedding, as long as you're surrounded by what you love and those you love, everything will just seem that much more magical. Don't try to limit yourself. When my friends asked me what our wedding colors were, I gave them a spectrum of color palette. When they asked for our theme, I rambled off a laundry list of adjectives. In the end, it was definitely the outpouring of love + support from our family and friends that tied together everything that we had envisioned + created.

Ron and I wanted to make sure that our wedding was an intimate affair (despite our 240+ guest count!). It was very important to us for our guests to see who we are through every aspect of the wedding. We tried to put in as many personal touches as we can--even though it was very time consuming. We tried to be practical when doing our wedding planning--buying things that we could use later in our home, making things that guests can take home to use themselves, and putting special touches to elevate simple everyday things. The end result was definitely all worthwhile!
