If I was allotted one wedding do-over (with the same sweet husband, of course!) I’m pretty certain I’d plan an elopement as simple yet stylish as this. Inspired by elements of the Old West, this Mr. and Mrs. worked with Three Nails Photography to handcraft as day as personal as possible. The result? A simple cermony for two with moments to cherish for a lifetime. Feel free to gush away and get inspired in the full gallery right here!
From the Bride…Even though we decided to elope, I knew I still wanted amazing pictures to commemorate the day. I asked Hunter to not only photograph our wedding but also to style it. We decided on an Old West theme and after discussing some key elements I turned it over. It was wonderful because I totally trusted him and I could just focus on the day and not the stress. The location was a historic site and was so peaceful and serene. I slipped into my dress in the old, civil war era house, using the sunlight from the windows and a mirror that we propped up against the wall. I stood on my dress bag due to the generous amount of dirt, and for some reason, hay on the floor. I truly felt like we were in another era. Then it was out to the ceremony which was simple and quiet and lovely. Just the two of us, committing to forever. Then we had a nice long walk across the field to our reception table, holding hands and dodging cow patties along the way. Every little detail was perfect. I think my favorite part of the day was how much fun we had. Eloping is not for everyone and is certainly a personal decision. But for us, we felt like it was the right one. Thank you to Hunter and the vendors he collaborated with for making every detail beautiful and meaningful. We will cherish the memories. (I mean really, how many people get a covered wagon for their wedding?)
