Oh, Salvage One. What can I say? I love every little thing about you… and the weddings you host? Some of my all-time favorites. So, when I spotted this lovely little shindig from Modern Image Studios, I knew (just knew) it was going to be fabulous. And, oh my goodness, was I right. From the awesome French Bulldog cake (!) from Amy Beck Cake Design to the yummy popcorn treats for guests to the bride and groom who seriously seem like the best time ever, it’s hands-down, without a doubt fantastic. And the gallery? Awesome. Join me there for sooo much more.
From Modern Image Studios… The playfulness and charm of the day created such a dreamy experience.
Salvage One is one of our favorite wedding venues! The atmosphere, elegance, and quirky, charming details all lend themselves to gorgeous looking photographs. In speaking with the bride ahead of time, we knew that this wedding was going to be out of this world. The bride expressed that details shots of the food was very important to her, and we are suckers for detail shots! Probably the most unique appetizer we’ve ever come across was at this wedding– mini meat loafs in the shape of cupcakes! Seriously too cute! The couples’ dog is basically like their daughter, and so their wedding cake was made to look exactly like their French Bulldog, Jersey.
There were other dog details throughout, like the table numbers– which were plain and simple, but the concept was brilliant and edgy. And who wouldn’t want their dog at their wedding in spirit! These are the reasons that we were head over heels for this couple! Of course there was a very special photo booth with unique props, and the candy and treats were amazing. The candy buttons are a big time favorite. Even the bags of popcorn were beautiful. There was no part of this wedding that was left overlooked. It was truly a gorgeously-done event from the ground up. The building itself is enough to swoon over. Every corner of that place was a new photo op– the wall of clocks, the beautiful couches, the awesome Chicago sign outside. And add this couples’ creativity and the bride’s vintage tastes to the venue– it was such a great combo that made some truly unforgettable moments for all those loved ones of the couple. And who doesn’t want their guests appreciating every last piece of a wedding day?! The whole day seemed just like a living, breathing piece of art.
