Our Bryce Covey day continues with an impossibly pretty styled shoot set on California’s coast. It’s a shoot of earth-tone inspiration alongside a blend of textured blooms by the talented Twig and Twine. With all components to make our hearts pound a little faster, you can bet there’s even more pretty to pin tucked away right here.
From Twig and Twine…The talented photographer Bryce Covey and I recently collaborated on a small shoot inspired by the landscape of the Palos Verdes coastline. We based our color scheme on the natural beauty of the surrounding rocky hillsides, ocean and flora. I worked with a palette that was quite earthy in color and not your typical request from brides. I found gorgeous peach bearded irises at the LA flower market that really set the tone for the rest of the bouquet. The peonies, ranunculus, millet, rattlesnake grass, chocolate cosmos and a peachy colored spirea were the perfect compliment to the iris. I fashioned it loose and full of texture for a more rustic look which was perfect for the rugged terrain we worked with as our backdrop. The flow of the colors in that bouquet still have me swooning.
