From Shannon Lee Miller… Deanna and Nathan’s wedding was even more photogenic than I expected it to be. Deanna’s handmade touches made this a very personal affair. I’ve never been to a wedding where everyone was so relaxed and so focused on the most important thing, the couple’s love. It was so refreshing to be around them and capture the moments of their special day.
From the bride… Trying to plan a wedding on my own tight budget seemed like an impossible task. I spent weeks cutting and folding paper after paper to make over 400 origami birds. To go along with this paper theme, my wonderful mother made four unique paper bouquets. After months of anticipation, I will never forget arriving at the venue and seeing all of our hard work pay off. The decorations looked better than I imagined, and right then I knew the day was going to be flawless. My favorite moment was the few brief minutes before I walked down the aisle. Sidney, the best man, started playing La noyee by Yann Tiersen on the accordion, and my two older brothers were by my side ready to walk me down the aisle. This meant so much to me. As I walked down the aisle and saw all my friends and family in their seats and it brought me to the moment of “is this really real, is this happening?” And then I saw him. I saw my soon to be husband’s face full of excitement, nervousness, and pure love. In that moment I was beyond happy and in true bliss. I could not have been blessed with a more perfect day.
