North Carolina DIY Wedding from Heather Fink Photography
This sweet North Carolina couple had just one criteria for their DIY wedding: to be the best day ever. And it absolutely was thanks to the family and friends who came alongside to handcraft every wedding detail, inside and out. From the bride's dress and veil, both handmade by her sister, to the couple's friends who teamed up to coordinate, decorate and design, it's a wedding of stunning simplicity that let nothing outshine the love. The whole day was captured behind the lens of Heather Fink Photography and you can see all that and more right here.
From the bride...We got married in my parents beautiful backyard located in Salisbury, North Carolina. The weather was surprisingly cool and perfect for a late August evening. My sister (also my Matron of Honor) made my dress and veil. Friends of ours coordinated the wedding, decorated the cake, arranged flower bouquets. Our budget was very small so all of the decorations were DIY with the help of my amazing bridesmaids. It was the happiest, most beautiful day of our lives. We laughed so much, and cried a little bit when we promised that we would love each other til death do us part (we wrote our own vows). The reception was informal and very comfortable, we finished up the evening at dusk with Chinese lanterns, which were a big hi-light for us We wanted our wedding day to be the best day ever, and it absolutely was.
