Perth, Ontario Wedding from Weddings Unveiled + AMBphoto
Perfectly imperfect just happens to be my favorite version of perfect, and one look at this wedding captured by AMBphoto and you'll see why. It's full of details that just seemed to fall in place effortlessly thanks to Weddings Unveiled - almost as though they just happened to be there the entire time yet are completely personal at the same time. It all makes for a gallery that could not be more gorgeous if it tried, so be sure to set aside some time to devour each and every image right here.
From the Bride... Our wedding inspiration came from my love of mismatched pottery, a passion for the outdoors, and a distaste for 'perfect'. We like the used and eclectic look so we asked All the bridesmaids to pick their own dresses and the flowers tied them together. The groomsmen were asked to wear their own suits - preferably not black. To bring cohesion to the boys each groomsmen wore the same shirt and tie which was opposite of the groom. We asked that there be more greenery than flowers in the florals around the room and in the bouquets and we loved the look of baby ferns our florist incorporated into them.
We purchased old bottles through collectors and garage sales for the centre pieces and also incorporated modern cylinders to avoid the antique look. Although I was born and raised on a farm and being country naturally runs through my veins it doesn't for Steve so we had to be careful that our rustic pieces weren't heading down the cowboy/farming route. We tried to have a lot of different decor that all worked together and ended up gathering simple pieces of cedar wood posts of various lengths, torched them and cut them into slices which would be on each table to hold the centerpieces and on the dessert table.
We used old barn boards for signage and for a piece I love - our picture collage (all the frames were found in local garage sales). We frosted all the candle motifs and drilled hearts into tin cans to give off this subdued glow when filled with candle light. Old barn windows were distressed with the torch and a heat gun and used for signs and table seating. I also enjoy to scrapbook and that is where the signature book idea came from too- it's been a tradition of me creating scrapbook signature books for my friends wedding - so I had to do one for my own.
I just loved making and finding the decor and Lynn Lee, our wedding planner did an excellent job using all of our items and putting them in the right space. She was an immense help with putting together the blue bottle collage and rustic pieces that she found at her family's house in Prince Edward Island. We couldn't have appreciated more that she was always thinking about how to bring our rustic, eclectic vision to light.
One concern of our were the colors we choose which actually turned out to be our favorite aspect of the wedding decor we choose navy blue and eggplant purple but we had to incorporate the rustic orange to break the dark colours. Again, Lynn was amazing at incorporating the rustic orange and my desire for nothing to be perfect. We had three different color of napkins and we rotated the color of napkins for each table. No two tables were alike just similar. As they say in Thailand: Same same but different.
