Toronto Wedding from Vivian Hui + Lapin Weddings
Every day I find a new reason to grab the man of my dreams, run off to Canada and tie the knot. Every single day. And today's gorgeous Toronto affair just so happens to be temptation number 3,427. (But, who's counting?) Because when it comes to lovely weddings, this affair most definitely takes the cake with the fab stylings of With Joy Wedding Service, a beautiful Casa Victoria setting and one breathtaking image after another captured by Vivian Hui. See every last moment planned to perfection by Lapin Weddings right here.
From the Bride... Damian and I met in a club (for all those around my age group in London - this will make you laugh), Monday night = Oriental night at Hippodrome, Leicester Square, London. It’s so ‘old skool’, it’s no longer a club, but a casino. That was almost 11 years ago. When I first found out Damian’s age (when he finally plucked up the courage to call me 2 days later), I was initially shocked. At 2 years younger than me, I was naturally hesitant. However, we met for our first date a few days later and have never looked back since. Damian asked me to marry him on his 27th birthday in the Cotswold and straight away, we knew we wanted to get married in Toronto, Canada. We absolutely love Canada.
We took a trip to Toronto and started making the plans from there, requesting help from the lovely Helen Lai, our wedding planner. We fell in love with and booked the venue, Oakview Terrace straight away when we were out there and sorted out the cake (from Ruelo Patisserie), flowers and decorations (With Joy Wedding Services), hair & makeup (the very talented, Satine Studio) and Photographer (very very talented and made me feel emotional when I watched one of her ‘highlights videos’ – Vivian Hui). The dress took me some time to find in the UK, but I finally found “the one” – Casablanca, Blue By Enzoani in a small boutique called Bride & Groom in Bromley, Kent, United Kingdom. My shoes were from House of Fraser and Damian’s suits were hired from Moss Bros.
We set out for a small, intimate, simple, classic and elegant wedding and it was more than what we could ever have imagined it to be. Bringing friends and family from various countries was a big deal, since it doesn’t happen very often. This made it even more important to keep the day simple, so we could interact with each and every one of our guests. The ceremony was my favourite part of the day - it was funny, emotional, intense and special - all rolled into one. The bridal photo session was a lot of fun. Vivian and her 2nd photographer Chan-Ra did such a FANTASTIC job on the photo’s and the highlights video, capturing a small, intimate, simple, classic and elegant wedding – simply priceless. We look back and think “Wow, we enjoyed every single minute of the special day with our closest friends and family there. We couldn’t ask for anything more” and it’s all thanks to Helen Lai for her attention to detail, personable personality and professionalism and Vivian for capturing the most beautiful pictures that we can look back on for the rest of our lives. Thank you.
