Santa Barbara Wedding from Tyler Branch Photography

Set beneath the Santa Barbara sun comes a Spanish-inspired wedding filled with elegance and grace. With an old world ambiance in mind, the terracotta texture and white-washed walls the historic El Paseo served as the perfect backrop for this ultimate celebration. Feel free to get lost in the full gallery of Tyler Branch Photography’s sun-soaked images followed by a viewing of Cloudless Weddings’ equally beautiful film.

From the bride...Steven and I fell in love with El Presidio, a quaint chapel rich with history, located in the heart of Santa Barbara, California.  I always dreamed of getting married in such a gorgeous city with so much character.  My vision for our big day was to have a sweet and chic wedding with a touch of Mexican and Spanish vintage design. We both wanted to have a fiesta to celebrate our marriage and decided the old town of Santa Barbara was the perfect location. The walls of El Presidio are painted with stunning artwork in colors that pop.  We incorporated handmade white paper flowers from Mexico on the chairs.  It was just enough decoration, as we did not want to take away from the beautiful and historic charm.  Candles were lit around the chapel and set an old Spanish ambiance.  We wanted our reception to have the same feel as the chapel, and we were thrilled to discover the world famous El Paseo restaurant just walking distance from El Presidio Chapel.  El Paseo’s two-piece Spanish tile roof with its colorful terra-cotta texture and unique pattern is placed against white walls.  A stunning fountain and trees with twinkle lights made our guest feel as though they were inside an intimate Spanish hacienda courtyard.  Our florist, Bouavon Sanchez, and coordinator, Kim Nash-Amezcua, created the breathtaking atmosphere we had envisioned.  We had a variety of flowers including roses, baby’s breath, hydrangeas and of course dahlias, Mexico’s national flower.  Coincidently our wedding day was on September 15, Mexican Independence Day.  Our dream wedding came true with the love and support of our amazing vendors, family, and friends.  Special details including banderita mini flags, papel picado banners, and a custom piñata filled with white rose petals, made our special day truly sweet, chic and forever historic!
