The Original Bridal Swap

The incredible amount of creativity in the wedding industry never ceases to amaze me. One insanely-good idea after the next has me on constant inspiration overload, and when I heard about The Original Bridal Swap, I had a little "why didn't I think of that!" moment. Back for its third year, The Original Bridal Swap will take place on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 11am until 3pm at the centrally-located Roundhouse Community Center in Yaletown. Created by the wedding planning gurus from DreamGroup Productions, this exciting, eco-friendly event lets past brides and wedding vendors sell their gently used wedding decor and personal DIY items to future brides! Set up like an upscale flea market, brides can find everything they need for their big day from fabric, linens and glassware to gently-used dresses and accessories! Is this not the best idea you've ever heard?!
This year, Vancouver's Wedding Craft Artisans have been added to the mix, selling locally-made wedding-related items to the brides in attendance. And if you're in the market for a dress, you can find a huge selection ranging from $100-$800! Local florists, photographers and stationers will also be exhibiting at the swap, so consider this even a one-stop shop! This, my dears, is up-cycling at its best! Interested in selling your wares at The Original Bridal Swap? Visit the event's site for more details and table prices.

Only 250 early bird tickets will be sold for $12 (plus tax) getting you early access to the event (10:30am) and access for the best finds and deals! General admission tickets (access at 11am) are $12 (plus tax) and will go on sale once the early bird tickets sell out! There will be tickets available at the door for $12 (plus tax-cash only!). Happy shopping, SMPers! xo
