From Lisa Vorce… Jillian is the sister of one of our former clients (Alissa and Ryan – San Ysidro Ranch) so we were delighted to be able to work with the Parker family again! We adore them! What was even more fun is that Jillian and Alissa have such unique personalities and are at such opposite ends of the design spectrum. While Alissa loves a more earthy Bohemian style, Jillian gravitated towards things that were more traditional and formal. Jillian and Pauls’ wedding was such a great combination of rustic elegance and old world formality. Jillian loved the opulent decor in Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette so Mindy and I pulled our color inspiration (robin’s egg blue, blush, soft white with accents of gold) from images from the Louis XIV era. The gorgeous Barn at Walnut Hill provided an wonderful back drop for us. Mindy brought in oversized gold candelabras for the table tops and soft hued garden roses and peonies that were paired with gilded fruit. She incorporated fragrant gardenias at each place setting for a special touch! For the favors, Paul’s family provided maple syrup from their Vermont farm that we packaged in vintage bottles. We were also able to incorporate their maple syrup into the vinaigrette for the salad course which was such a unique detail!
