I spend more than my fair share of time dreaming of the day that I can run off with my sweetie and say "I do" in a land far, far away. And destination weddings in Italy? They are tops on my list. So, when I first laid eyes on the pure genius that is Wed in Italy, well... let's just say I got a little excited. Because not only are they a new advertiser joining our SMP Family, they happen to be an uber-fabulous planning and design firm that will turn your Italian dream wedding into a serious reality. From Wed in Italy... My name is Raffaella Alflatt and I founded Wed in Italy with a singular purpose: to grant couples their wish of having the perfect destination wedding in Italy. Since 2006, we've guided newlyweds through every step of planning a wedding in Italy - including all of the paperwork and logistics - to ensure that when they arrive for their nuptials, everything is ready and waiting for them to say, “I do.”
From the shores of Lake Como to a cliffside terrace on the Amalfi coast to a 16th-century villa nestled in the hills just outside of Florence, we've had the pleasure of welcoming scores of wedding parties to some of the most stunning locations in Il Bel Paese. I think my favorite part of helping couples plan their wedding is seeing how thrilled they are that, even though they're getting married far from home, we're able to incorporate family traditions, feature treasured keepsakes, and organize the arrival of guests from the four corners of the globe to create an event that is as unique as they are.
