White on white on a hint of pale blush and maybe a smidge of gold makes for a really stunning color palette. And this palette and the resulting wedding are a study in classic glamour. The kind where a Vera Wang gown can intermingle with gilded details crafted by Carolyn Chen of The Special Day without skipping a beat. Also the kind where a same day edit by Elysium Productions is nothing short of magical. It’s all sitting pretty in the full gallery. Have a look.

From the Bride… Our wedding day was filled with so much love and happiness! Matt and I met in 7th grade and have grown up together so we knew we wanted our day to heavily involve our family members and friends who have seen our relationship develop. Most importantly, we wanted everyone to have a great time especially since so many people were traveling from all over the U.S. to spend the weekend celebrating with us. We were thrilled with the end results and were lucky to work with great vendors and a wedding coordinator who made the planning process smooth and easy.
As soon as we got engaged, I started a binder to organize magazine tears and ideas on how we envisioned our special day. From the get go, the two main elements that influenced the overall planning process were picking a color palette (white, blush and gold) and the floral designs (which focused on using peonies, my favorite flower). I also knew I wanted a romantic and elegant feel to the day with many personalized touches. For example, the fleur-de-lis symbol that was carried throughout our paper goods was a homage to my college sorority, my sister created personalized water bottle labels with our monogram that was also featured on the dance floor and two of our speciality cocktails, “The Crabtree” and “The Stoner,” were based of each of our favorite drinks.
Some of my favorite moments of the day included getting ready with my bridesmaids in matching robes while watching The Royal Wedding on TV and singing along to Florence + The Machine, having a “First Look” with Matt before the ceremony, seeing the amazing “Same Day Edit” during the reception for the first time and the impromptu rap and dance number we performed for our guests at the end of the night… but I’d have to say the best part of the day was walking down the aisle as husband and wife in front of all of our loved ones. Our wedding day was beyond anything we could have imagined and we are so thankful to have photos, video and endless memories to share with our son who is due right around New Years!
