Burbank, California Wedding from Love & Lemonade Photography

Oh my gosh. Her gown is pink. But not an obnoxious I’ve-dyed-my-poodle-pink pink, more of an exquisite, creamy, elegant, and barely-there pink made to perfection by Lazaro. And I cannot think of anyone better than Love & Lemonade Photography to take a little girl’s dream of love with a fabulous dress and show how chic, flawless and grown-up this day truly was. Oh, and we can’t forget The Little Branch, who added whimsical sun-shiny florals that just make me want to smile, miss all my deadlines and spend the whole day getting lost in this very pretty gallery. Just kidding Abby!

From Love & Lemonade PhotographyFrom the DIY honey jar favors to the beautiful florals by The Little Branch, Bettina and Jonathan’s traditional Jewish wedding at Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank, CA was filled with romance and sweetness. And you will LOVE the bride’s frothy PINK Lazaro gown. I hope you love this wedding as much as I loved capturing every moment and detail.

From the Bride… When Jonathan proposed to me a year after we started dating, I just wanted to sit and bask in the happiness for a while. It took me 6 to 9 months to really get into the wedding planning. I quickly grew an addiction for wedding blogs, SMP being my most favorite. I spent countless hours trying to define our vision for the wedding and I finally understood that I just needed to trust my instincts. There is so much to choose from out there, it makes it easy to second-guess yourself. Being both from Europe, we really wanted the wedding to reflect our cultures, styles as well as our Jewish traditions. We decided to go for a French countryside theme (France being where I am from) and to incorporate rustic and elegant vintage elements. When I found my dress, everything else fell into places; it helped me come up with the color palette and décor (soft peach and tan were our colors). When planning the wedding, I always kept our guests in mind. We knew people would travel from all around the world (France, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Spain…); we really wanted to bring them together and create a night they would remember.

We also wanted the celebration to exude our love for each other, our mutual respect as well as our love for Nature and the outdoors, which is why we picked the Calamigos Equestrian as our venue. We put a lot of attention to the details and included a lot of handmade and DIY into our big day. As for our vendors, we chose them with our instincts again; I needed to be able to rely on them and feel confident they would translate our vision well. Photography was our #1 priority and working with Nina from Love and Lemonade was a true blessing. She made us feel comfortable and very relaxed. The months leading to the wedding were filled with flea market hunting for vintage décor elements and hours of crafting with my mother and my bridesmaids. Our wedding day turned out to be even better than what we dreamt of. It was truly a reflection of who we are and how we feel for each other. It was beyond magical. I think the most important aspect of our wedding is the fact that everyone had a great time and danced the night away. We felt the love all our guests had for us throughout the entire day.

My advice for the brides-to-be is 1. People will always want to share opinions you did not ask for around the wedding; Try not to pay attention. Design your wedding with your instinct, this is your big day after all. 2.Make your life easier by picking vendors you connect with on a personal level and that you can rely on. 3. Finally, let go of the small details and be in the moment the day of; not only is it the most beautiful day of our life, it is also the most fun.
