Los Angeles Wedding from Chaz Cruz Photography + The Little Branch
There's so much to love about this LA wedding, but the very best part is how seamlessly the bride and groom worked together to design the wedding of their dreams. He loves modern, clean design. She loves everything romantic and feminine. They combined their loves and with gorgeous florals from The Little Branch and Chaz Cruz Photography behind the lens, wedding magic ensued. See it all right here in the full gallery!
From the Bride... Eric and I both come from creative backgrounds. Our shared interest in art, design, and architecture is what initially drew us together and makes us best friends. I have a love for feminine and romantic and Eric loves clean and modern. So when it was time to plan our wedding, we wanted to make sure that each of our personal styles came naturally together.
We spent several months at the beginning of our engagement painting and drawing and looking for inspiration on blogs and for handmade items on Etsy. The whole wedding became a design project for us and we worked together to blend our ideas. Through our combined art and design skills and the advice of Katie Gaines from Love, Paper, Paint we were able to DIY our invitations, menu cards, seating chart, and ceremony programs.
One of the easiest decisions we had to make was our ceremony location. Since both of our parents were married at St. Paul the Apostle, Eric’s in NYC and mine in West LA, we knew we also wanted to say our “I do’s” in the same church. Following the ceremony, my parents quietly renewed their vows as they are celebrating 40 years of marriage this December. It was such a sweet moment.
We wanted a blank canvas to infuse with our own style and since we’ve had so many fun memories on dates in Old Town Pasadena, Pandora on Green was the perfect venue. It had exposed brick walls, painted wooden trusses, and a modern bar for the clean look that Eric loves. We added romance by infusing the room with candles, amber lighting, and warm orange florals from the Little Branch.
We felt so lucky to have found our photographer, talented vendors, and the assistance of our family and friends to have helped make our vision come to life. It was a collaborative effort to make it the happiest day of our lives.
