Although I may be a teensy bit biased, I can’t help but believe SMP brides are the absolute best. There’s an intuitive sense of style our brides seem to effortlessly infuse into their weddings that simply can’t compare. And when that bride just happens to be the owner of her own Baltimore bridal boutique, and brought on The Floral Studio and Elizabeth Bailey to help craft her dream day, you know this wedding will deliver. Mia and Christian wanted to create an event that blended Mia’s southern roots with Christian’s maritime passion and the day was full of special touches that included a southern Baptist choir in their colorful choir robes that escorted the guests from the ceremony to the reception and the charming goldfish that were in all of the floral centerpieces—and subsequently released to a friend’s pond!
The Belmont Conference Center, a beautiful estate in Maryland, was the venue for both the tented ceremony and the reception and also hosted the entire bridal party and both families for the entire wedding weekend. Chelle papery created the dragonfly-themed invitations (reminiscent of the dragonflies that were drawn to the marina where they first met) and paper goods, including the adorable parasols that the flower girls carried. Mia’s color palette of cream and a shade of orange-peach was as refreshing on a warm summer day as a dish of cold sherbert, and the perfect color choice for chasing away the morning rain that gave way to a beautiful sunny wedding day!
