This Jenny Packham gown has been dancing in my dreams since the moment I set sight on this pretty Austin party from Q Weddings at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center. It’s basically my dream dress, and it couldn’t be more fitting for this gorgeous Bride and her envy-worthy big day. It was all perfectly put together thanks to Three Apples Events and Rosehip Flora – leaving us with a stunning gallery to fawn over. See it all here.
From Suzi of Q Weddings… Katie and Andy’s rustic and elegant wedding was held at the architecturally unique Ladybird Johnson Wildflower in Austin. The gardens and surrounding areas contain native plant life, including big oak trees. Katie and Andy love Austin and spend as much time there as possible, including getting engaged under a big oak tree, which they call “our tree.” They currently live in Houston but knew they had to introduce their friends and family to the wonderful city of Austin.
The decor included vintage mismatched plates, pastel damask linens, and floral centerpieces in corrugated tin vases. The flowers were a mix of succulents and pastel/chartreuse florals. Rosehip Flora does stunning florals and their creations, along with the tableware, made this wedding unique and beautiful. The reception was held outdoors under the beautiful May skies of Texas. Austin is known as a live music capital, so it’s no surprise that the band, Memphis Train Revue, carried the reception to another level.
The bride wore a Jenny Packham gown with art deco detailing, and the groom wore a tux. The guests also wore evening attire, which was a nice contrast to the outdoor relaxed surroundings of the venue.
