I love this one. I just love, love, love it! And it has everything to do with Britt Rene‘s photos. I’m always into weddings that look downright fun. From the mother of the bride and her baby eskimo kissing before she walks down the aisle, to a big squeeze hug between the happy couple, this day is just oozing with happiness! Also, I am a sucker for nautical themes complete with portholes, weathered rope and blue anchors. And the view? Stunning. Please, oh please have a look in the gallery for even more.
From the Bride… Spencer and I met in Seattle and started dating in 2006. We are both transplants – him from Idaho and me from Texas – so we wanted our wedding to showcase Seattle – the place we call home together. We knew the Skansonia was the right place for a few reasons including a fabulous indoor/outdoor space – and an amazing view of downtown Seattle, Lake Union and the iconic Space Needle (featured as our cake topper as well). We loved the raw, authentic feel of the vintage 1920s ferry boat, so our touches were small and personal. Dusty, nautical floral in peaches, blues and greens, favor bags with an anchor – subtle but in sync.
Overall – it was a day to remember always – punctuated by all of our loved ones who shared in the day!
