I’m not a wedding crasher (unless you count all of the glorious weddings I get to “crash” on a daily basis here at SMP), but if there is one wedding I would have been tempted to sneak my way into, it’s this breathtaking State Room affair captured beautifully by Krista Photography. A traditional soiree that kicked off with a stunning ceremony at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, it’s one of those weddings you seriously can’t stop dreaming about with beautiful blooms from Awesome Blossom, sweet pastel hues and a pair of oh-so-happy (+ oh-so-gorgeous) newlyweds. Life is good. Click here for more.
Not quite ready to say goodbye to this beautiful duo? (I know.. us, too.) Well, thankfully, Krista Photography sent along their equally as gorgeous engagement session, so we don’t have to. Today is awesome.
From Krista Photography… From the very first time Liz emailed me, I knew I’d love her. Then we met in person, and I was totally proved right. Liz & Pete are great together, so easy to talk to, and just a joy to be with! Their wedding this fall at The State Room was no less wonderful than I would have imagined. SO much fun, and a serious love fest! These two are not only beautiful, but they are DEARLY loved by their friends and family. It was so great to celebrate with them and be part of their day!!
From the Bride… Pete and I had the most amazing wedding we could ever dream of. The weekend was so much fun, from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding; everything went off without a hitch. I was SO happy we decided to do first look before our nuptials. We met at the Ames hotel, in a private area with Krista and our videographers and it was such an amazing moment being able to see Pete (my now husband) before the wedding. We were able to take all of our photos before the wedding (thanks to Krista for recommending first look), and it was the BEST decision we made. The weather on the day of our wedding was questionable in the morning, but the rain held off, so we made a game time decision to go to the Boston Public Garden for pictures with the bridal party and family. It was a picture perfect day.
The ceremony was lovely – we had a full mass since both of our families are Catholic and it was just perfect. Since we had some lag time between the wedding and cocktail hour, we decided to do a receiving line which ended up being a great decision. I feel like I was able to see everyone at the wedding in the receiving line. Cocktail hour began at 6pm and we were able to enjoy every minute of cocktail hour; mixing and mingling with guests (another perk of doing a first look). My twin sister sang our father/daughter song (since she’s super multi-talented) and my Dad was so surprised. It was such a special moment. We danced the entire night and the dance floor was jam packed all night long (as well as the photobooth). We had a great wedding and can’t believe it’s over, but we are so happy we can relive the night through our video and photos! Wouldn’t change one thing about the day/night!
