Camarillo Wedding at Maravilla Gardens from Closer to Love Photography

From Closer to Love Photography... Being true DIY enthusiasts, the bride and groom took on most projects themselves to add a personal touch to their wedding. Being a graphic designer, Jenny (the bride) designed the print work such as the invitations, programs, signs, etc. While Duc (the groom), the handyman distressed and reclaimed furniture to display their desserts and homemade candle favors. The candles were their favorite project mainly because of the story behind it. On the day Duc proposed, he made the same candles and added Jenny's favorite scented oil and lit them all throughout their house. By making every guest that same candle, Duc hoped to share and carry on that special memory. Jenny also added her personal touch by topping the candles with lace, twine and their own label. It was a labor of love.
From the Bride and Groom... When we imagined our wedding..we always pictured something along the lines of a secret garden and that's exactly what we found. Our wedding ceremony and reception was all outdoors in a beautiful garden over looking strawberry fields and rolling hills of flowers. Just breathtaking and magical. The tricky part was keeping our fingers crossed for good weather in October and guess what? After a heavy down pour just two days prior to the wedding, the rainbow came out and the sun shined so bright on our wedding day. It was perfect. In the evening we danced under the moonlight and shining stars just as we had wished for.
The best thing about our wedding was having all our closest friends and family there to celebrate with us, which made all the planning worth while. Looking back at our wedding, the only thing we would want to change is having more time to spend with our friends and family. More time to catch up with them, dance with them, laugh with them. Like they say..the night goes by in a blink of an eye and it sure did.
