San Clemente, California Wedding from Grand Engagements

Tucked away on the California coast comes a wedding so very dreamy I couldn’t help but virtually transport myself and stay a while.  I’m not sure whether it was the slew of creamy florals, that stunning ocean view, or the two lovebirds who waited nine long years for this day to come, but their wedding has officially won my heart and won’t let go. Grand Engagements and Troy Grover Photographers were the creative forces behind all the heart-stopping magic, and we’ve got every last detail waiting for you right here.

And the pretty party just keeps going with the wedding film from New Classic Films

From the Bride… Holden and I have been dating for over 9 years, so this wedding was long awaited! Right before we celebrated our 8 year anniversary, Holden decided to propose while we were vacationing in Maui! From the moment I said yes, wedding planning was in full force! We knew we wanted a summer wedding and something near the beach, but that’s about it. I immediately started looking at bridal magazines to help fill my mind with inspiration. We realized quickly that we gravitated towards a very simple, clean, natural look with a beachy feel. Everything fell into place when I bought my dress and it had a brown sash on it. This made the decision very easy for us…our colors were brown and white/ivory. We planned our wedding for 15 months, so this gave us time to scope out vendors one at a time, and really find people we loved.

I couldn’t have asked for anything better on our wedding day. Everything fell into place perfectly! Our venue was everything I could have ever dreamed of. The views of the beach were spectacular. The flowers were gorgeous and were exactly what I had envisioned, and the candles all around added the perfect touch. All of our vendors were on the ball. We got complimented many times on our officiant and DJ, and we had such awesome photographers and videographers. The food was amazing, the mini dessert bar was a hit, and the photobooth was in full force throughout the night. Our planner did such an amazing job making sure that every detail was perfect. I couldn’t have been happier with all of my choices. One of my favorite smaller details was our guest book. We didn’t want the traditional guest book, and instead we had a puzzle serve as our guest book. One side had our picture printed on it, and guests signed the back of a piece with a small message.

Our “Cards” box was another detail I loved. Holden and I didn’t do too many DIY, but we decided to make the box, and I do have to say we were both very impressed with the end result! It sounds so typical, but I really did feel like a princess on the day of the wedding. My hair and make up were exactly what I wanted, my dress and shoes were perfect, and overall I just felt beautiful. The bridesmaids dresses had the exact feel I was going for, and Holden did an awesome job putting his and the groomsmen attire together. The guys looked amazing. Holden and I chose to do a first look, and I was so relieved that we had. It was such a special moment, and it put my nerves at ease. After the first look, the day started to fly by. We took pictures, quickly jumped into the ceremony, cocktail hour, the reception, and then before I knew it, we were running through our friends and tons of bubbles to make it to our getaway car!
