Queensland Wedding Photo Shoot from Insight Creative + Carbine Avenue
From Karen of Carbine Avenue... For our third Make Believe Wedding, I wanted to create something completely different from the previous two shoots we had done. I was heavily influenced by all of the beautiful earthy, bohemian style images I had been seeing in recent months, and I added my latest obsession with aubergine and mulberry tones to create a rich and rustic theme. I used lots of raw materials — timber, twisted branches, moss and vines — for an earthy, natural feel and then added beautiful blooms by Townsville Flower Market for color and romance. Our reception included a very old, handmade timber slab table, and I added to this pink French wine glasses and cut-crystal, inlaid metal vases, antique silver and the most adorable cookie wedding favors in sewn paper bags from Cafe Bambini.
I wanted our bride styled as a free spirit, but she also had to be very soft and romantic, so the gown and headpiece that was custom designed for us by Katelyn Aslett was simply perfect. Our models, nicknamed Johnny and June, are a real-life husband and wife and so sweet together — there were even a few tears shed by our behind-the-scenes crew at the faux ceremony!
