Oh this Bride. Isn’t she darling? Any Bride that rocks a red lip like she does always gets my vote. And her Arkansas affair is equally as darling and vote-worthy. Her Groom couldn’t be more dapper in his seersucker suit and polka dot bow tie (both happen to be weaknesses of mine), and her detail-filled day is so cute I could pinch it’s imaginary cheeks. So maybe I have a little girl crush on the Bride. Can you blame me? See more of her beautiful day snapped up by Mellow Yellow Photography right here.
From Melodie of Mellow Yellow Photography… Sara and Scott met in Vegas while at a minor league baseball trade show for business, there was a bit of a connection but it wasn’t until the following year at the same trade show that they decided they were really into each other. Sara lived in Arkansas and Scott in Virginia, thus beginning their long distance romance. Sara just recently moved to Virginia to be with Scott, but her family is still in Arkansas so the wedding was held here in Fayetteville. She was very involved with her school, the University of Arkansas and of course the Razorbacks, so it was only fit that she incorporated those loves throughout the day. They got ready and had their first look at the Inn at Carnall Hall on the university campus which was just a wonderfully beautiful old hotel.
I was squealing like a little girl when she busted out those Kate Spade glitter sling backs. How adorable are those!? And totally a perfect fit for Sara and her bubbly personality. Scott looked absolutely dabber in his seer sucker suit as well. I thought it was such a great choice with their blue and white color scheme. They had 7 cakes because they just simply couldn’t decide on one flavor and they had a local restaurant called the Catfish Hole come and fry up some fresh fish on the spot. It was a very laid back yet absolutely elegant reception. There was a cornhole game set up for some friendly competition which were built and painted by Scott with their beautiful monogram in blue. The evening ended with the sweetest sorority song and dance and a sparkler lit farewell.
