As I dwell on the opposite coast of California's stunning wine country, my whole being wishes I could rest in the beauty of all of its vineyards and breathtaking landscape of that awe worthy terrain. From Kate Harrison Photography... Lori and Evan live in Las Vegas but were married in Sonoma. Evan has a background in wine, and he and Lori love the feeling of wine country. They feel like when they are there, they naturally gravitate towards the things that matter in life: family, great moments with friends, and putting focus on the land and what it bears. They wanted their closest family and friends to feel all of that with them when they were married.
From the Bride... Wine country was one of the very first trips Evan and I took together, and we fell in love with Sonoma. We knew we had to get married here. We felt so full of bliss when we came across Cornerstone Gardens and knew that would be the place that we envisioned together. The venue was so perfect for what we wanted: a day full of love and laughter. I was inspired by the vintage, rustic farm look, and Cornerstone has a barn with gorgeous wood walls and the right amount of space for our intimate wedding of 80. The outside of the barn was a mint green and went so well with our colors, green and white. I brought in as many unique elements as I could — mason jars, wood crates, farm tables, a vintage dresser, chalkboards, and even green striped straws — because I believe it is all about the details. We were surrounded by the people we love most in the most beautiful place we could have ever imagined, saying our vows with rows of vineyards behind us ... it truly was the best day of our lives.
