Saddlerock Ranch Wedding from Onelove Photography + Minted
Saddlerock Ranch always produces a gorgeous fête, and I'm thoroughly convinced it is because of the fabulous caliber of couples that are drawn to the venue. Always cool, ultra hip, with a little something special couples. Like this Rock and Roll twosome and their music-inspired wedding. Captured brilliantly by onelove photography, everything from the stationery from Minted, to the stunning alter, to the record bowls have that certain rock factor. Click here to see it ALL.
It is obvious from the second you meet Brian or myself that music is our love and passion. From the music note I wear everyday to a home full of random music gear, music is our life. We wanted to create a day that showcased our love as well as our mutual love of music, not just from the bride and groom but from all who joined us.
Brian and I had a LOT of help but also took on a lot ourselves. My father made the ring bearer pillow as well as the music note table runners and my mother hand painted all the signs for each location (all by hand!). Brian and myself hand made all the origami flowers from sheet music, designed everything from the programs, to the madlibs, to the escort cards, and made the record bowl favors. Also, we scoured flea markets for vintage music gear and found a great antique side table which we used as our guest book. We also spent many nights eating dinners that consisted of ingredients that came in vintage or unique bottles for flowers
As children, neither Brian or myself dreamed about the "perfect wedding" or had it laid out in a binder years in advance. We took our time and really made each detail our own. And hired amazing wedding vendors!
Everything about our day was perfect! We had such a great group of vendors helping us out. Also, seeing the day/decor pull together was incredible. We put so much effort into every detail and seeing our work come to life was amazing.
We felt strongly about integrating bits and pieces of our friends and family into the ceremony and reception. For example: The ring-bearers pants were Brian's pants when he was a kid, the handkerchief on the ring-bearers pillow belonged to Brian's great-grandmother, the pencils for the Madlibs were from a country club in my hometown, Brian plays Drums in a Latin rock band and the band members bought us the cake toppers while in Mexico, I wore my grandmothers locket and my mothers wedding rings as well as a ring of my sisters around my wrist, and as a favor guests left with a packet of lemonade from Rhode Island where Brian grew up.
