Malibu Wedding at Calamigos Ranch from Catherine Cindy Leo Weddings
Calamigos Ranch has pretty much cornered the market on magically romantic weddings. With their huge oak tree and no shortage of hidden corners perfect for sneaking a quick smooch with your true love, it's a perfect place for a rustic theme featuring lots of wooden elements, which is just what Catherine Cindy Leo Weddings helped this couple achieve. The images from Brandon Kidd Photography are also spectacular (no surprise there!), and you can see so much more in the gallery!
And be sure to check out this beautiful highlight video from Studio 205 Films. The ceremony is amazing!
From Catherine Cindy Leo Weddings... Hannah and Mark's choice in a wedding venue explained exactly what they were hoping for in a wedding: a rustic wedding filled with organic and vintage elements. When we first met Hannah and Mark, we knew their fun-loving personality had to really show within the details of their wedding, and considering the couple was from Northern California and Las Vegas, we knew we had to make this a memorable event for their guests.
We started with some of their favorite elements, such as succulents, burlap and wood, for the basis of their wedding. Mark and Hannah absolutely loved everything and anything wood, so we tied that into the wedding as much as we could! The wedding ceremony took place under a large oak tree with hundreds of twinkling lights. We included various-sized wood lanterns, mason jars filled with the most beautiful dahlias and garden roses, and a lemonade stand serving prickly pear lemonade to guests upon arrival. One of our favorite details was the vow box that was held in lieu or a ring pillow and made out of a wooden cigar box, succulents and tiny pebbles.
For the reception, guests were escorted to their seats by mini succulent plants wrapped in wood-grained paper. The flower centerpieces were a collection of vintage cigar boxes filled with the full and lush flowers arranged by Commerce Flowers. Instead of a dessert station the couple opted to have a pie bar with all of their favorite pies for their guests to feast on. The night was filled with lots of dancing, including a special dance routine to "Party Rock" by the bride, groom and some of the members of the wedding party. As guests departed for the night, a special s'mores station was set up as guests would wait for their vehicle.
