We know what you’re thinking, isn’t it a bit chilly today to share a beach wedding? But we think there’s no better way to bid adieu to 2012 than with this pretty, little soiree. Ashley Therese Photography spent the day with this adorable couple as they went from a traditional Chinese tea ceremony to a gorgeous beach reception complete with lots of lanterns, seashells, and perfectly pretty sand dollars. See it all right here.
From Ashley Therese Photography… Lisa and Garvin’s Lighthouse Point Park wedding was absolutely beautiful. The entire day, the sun and clouds were in a constant dance with one another, alternating who was taking the lead over the water. After a beautiful, traditional Chinese tea ceremony, the couple tied the knot on the shore of the Long Island Sound. With the waves crashing and the ocean breeze blowing, it was such a romantic setting for their I do’s. The starfish and shell-adorned netting to the lantern centerpieces, a beach-inspired cake creation, sandboxes of sand dollar escort cards — all the details reflected the gorgeous seaside setting.
Guests enjoyed some fabulous BBQ favorites for dinner, such as corn bread and pulled pork, along with some fresh lobster. After eating and lots of dancing, the two newlyweds rode the amazing carousel built in 1916! Everyone danced under the twinkling lights inside as the rain and lightening moved over the water in the distance. It was a beautiful light show inside and outside until the very last song played!
