From the Bride… It was very important to my husband and me that we find a wedding venue that would allow us to have an elegant, rustic wedding. Quonquont Farm in Whately, Massachusetts, was the perfect venue for us – we were married in an apple orchard, and had our reception in a newly-renovated barn that was elegant but still had country touches! Our day was everything we imagined it to be. The ceremony was perfect and laid-back, made even more so by having my childhood minister officiate the ceremony. The reception was beautiful inside the barn with its rustic elegance. The venue did not require many decorative touches, so I kept it simple with the flowers doing most of the decorating. I had an overall theme of apples, using apple crates as bases for the flower baskets at the ceremony and using various New England apple varieties as table names. The landscape of the farm was perfect for pictures and for making our day one that we will never forget!
