I’m pretty sure Jasmine Star loves us because she’s always sending us the coolest photo shoots. The kind of shoots that take tradition and give it a good twist. (Remember this gem?) And for that, we love her right back along with this team of amazing vendors. Ahem Couture Events, The Little Branch, Fiore Beauty and Vanilla Bake Shop, we’re looking at you. This inspiration is ripe with old Hollywood glamour and a cool, Hipster style that blend together so beautifully. See even more right here in the full gallery.
From Danielle Sidari of Couture Events… The inspiration for the shoot really came from my own life; I recently moved to Hollywood and in getting to know the area I discovered a constant recurrence of old meeting new. I wanted to connect the classic and timeless styles of Old Hollywood with the trendy and relevant hipster style that is so prevalent in communities all over LA. The mix of classic and eclectic intrigues me and inspires my everyday style so it was exciting and challenging to try and achieve that through this bridal shoot and I think it came across really well with the help of every vendor that contributed!
I think the process of designing a wedding can be overwhelming for many brides– they feel this expectation that it needs to be perfect and it needs to follow certain traditions. I hope through this shoot that brides see there are beautiful ways to break away from stuffy structure and tradition; I hope they have the courage to wear flowers in their hair and embrace bold colors. Mostly, I hope that this shoot inspires brides to get creative and take chances as they design their most perfect wedding!
The flowers that The Little Branch used for the shoot were absolutely amazing–the perfect accents for fall! My favorite was incorporating the pomegranates throughout the tablescape! The bouquet and centerpieces included billy balls, ranunculus, dahlias (another favorite!), roses and even coffee beans. The flowers really created the fall warmth and romance for this shoot. The dress was designed by a company called Love, Yu and the name of the dress is Jenny. I felt like it was the perfect dress for this shoot! Whimsical and trendy but also so elegant!
