A lineup of lovelies in mint, baby breath bouquets, a ceremony setting that couldn’t be sweeter – the list of adorable details goes on and on in this sweet soiree snapped up by Abby Caldwell Photography. But one quick glance beyond all the darling, and you’ll see a new Mr. & Mrs. wrapped up in a love that outshines even the prettiest details. It’s a vintage chic, love-filled fête, and it’s all sitting pretty right here.
From the Bride… Our wedding day was the most beautiful day of my entire life. The love that surrounded the whole day just made everything so intimate and sincere. My husband and I wanted our wedding to be a reflection of our love and the beauty of marriage; we think it did just that! We put hours and hours of work into the decorating and planning. It was breathtaking to see our vision all come together. The Battlefield Bed and Breakfast amazed us with it’s simple beauty. We were able to put our mark on everything, but we could not have done any of the beautiful decorations without April Lutter from the Kept Nest. Vintage Romance was our theme and through my numerous emails and crazy ideas, she put everything into action, and we could not have been happier! Abby captured the whole feel of the day perfectly.
It was a beautifully sunny day filled with warmth and love. The little details of our wedding really made the whole thing feel so much more intimate and romantic. Our mark was on every part of the wedding: my love for everything vintage and pretty and my husbands love for coke and history. My mom and I made the programs, the bunting, the runners for the table, the candy bar and so much more! Antiquing became my new obsession! We found the mantle and the doors in the ceremony in a friends garage! We washed them off and built the supports and they added such a sweet touch to our wedding!
The whole day was relaxed and full of love from all areas of our family and friends. I will definitely encourage all brides to surround yourself with great friends, family, and even vendors, who will support you, build you up, and make you laugh all day long! It allowed me to just revel in the bliss and beauty of my wedding and focus on the most important part, marrying the love of my life!
From Abby Caldwell Photography… Though the details from the fake pink flower in the bridal bouquet from a first date to the look on the groom’s face when he first saw his bride were priceless, my favorite part of the day was the foot washing ceremony. I thought the idea of serving each other was a truly beautiful representation of marriage. A selfless act, putting the other person first.
