From the Bride… Jerome and I were introduced by my sister when I first moved to Chicago for college. Over the next few years, we would run into one another here and there, but we didn’t keep in contact. Three years ago, we bumped into each other at a street festival and Jerome asked to take me on a date. While Jerome would continue to cleverly ask me out a few times, once his (now our) French Bulldog, Barkley, got involved I couldn’t resist and said yes. We had our first date at The Violet Hour and have been inseparable ever since.
We chose Promontory Point for the first location of our shoot because of the southern view of the Chicago skyline, as well as the autumnal colors of the trees. We had a great time climbing up and down the rocks on the lake shore and making the most of the unseasonably warm day. Our second location was the scene of our first date. The Violet Hour provided a nice contrast to the outdoors, as their French-inspired salon highlighted our modern, minimalistic style.
