When I first came across this wedding, there was a certain something that I absolutely loved – I just couldn’t put my finger on it. The entire design from Simply Sweet Weddings & Events was gorgeous, yes, but there was something special. It wasn’t until I heard that the bride infused her July wedding with hints and twinkles of Christmas that I realized why I loved it so much. This wedding is the proof that you can bring the beauty of this time of the year to your wedding – no matter what season you tie the knot. Marianne Wilson Photography has graciously provided us with a gallery of gorgeous images and you won’t want to miss it. Click here to see it!

DIY bride Bonnie knew she would need a long engagement to accomplish all the projects she had in mind for her dream day. A craft fanatic, who never leaves home without her glue gun, equiped with her best tools (her family and closest friends) spent an estimated 900 hours sewing, beading, gluing, and glittering to achieve the “rustic glamour” with a hint of “christmas” wedding she had dreamed up. A Christmas baby, Bonnie simply loves the holidays and it was her desire to create a whimsical wintery wonderland in July without being too themy or obvious.
Booking a cabin-like dining hall surrounded by tall pines, choosing to play with champagne, ivory and metalics, accenting the space with mercury glass, candle light, glittery doves and clear christmas ornaments, and working with a florist and wedding planner who made lush arrangements and wintery trees come to life with crystals and garland, made for a flawless execution of her theme. They hand sewed every table cloth and chair cap, hand beaded the crystal garland that dripped from the alter, hand made the wreathes, rustic pomander balls, and sparkly paper goods, and even got the groom and groomsmen to build wooden structures and accent them with swarovski crystals. The whole procees was “a labor of love” says the bride “but after all, it was the biggest art project of my life!”
