From the Bride... Michael and I knew each other for two years before we were married. We met in Hollywood at the "Jone's Bar" after we were set up by my sister Dinah. I'm originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Michael from Westchester, New York. Currently we live in New York, New York, where we both work.
In regards to the wedding and overall color theme, I liked a combination of blush, white and gold, which has an antique and elegant look. I liked "lily of the valley" from Princess Diana's wedding and the old-school look with simple flowers and a lots of green. The flowers were a similar look to what my grandmother had. I gave each bridesmaid pearl earrings from Tiffany to wear, and our moms each got a "no tears" necklace (which symbolized holding in the tears). For my wedding dress, I knew I wanted something with sleeves. I would have worn my grandmother's dress, but unfortunately it wasn't preserved well and was very yellowy and stiff. I just always knew I really wanted a more traditional, old-school wedding. I bought my dress at The White Dress in Corona Del Mar, and I knew it was the one for me when I saw it. We chose the St. Regis mainly because of location and the ballroom. We figured it would be a great place for our many out of town guests to enjoy and experience Orange County.
