Ya gotta love Maine, really. Around every corner is the perfect place for a picture, so when we saw this fabulous e-session and party by Briana Moore, we knew we had to share it with all of you asap! It’s a Labor Day lobster broil in honor of the adorable, newly engaged couple, thrown by the bride’s mom and it is all sorts of pretty. It’s nautical, it’s patriotic, it’s classic Maine…and it’s all right here for you to see.

From the Bride-to-Be… Kennebunkport has always been a very special place to both of us. Having spent a large part of my childhood there, I’ve always loved the rocky coast, the smell of ocean salt in the air and the slow pace of life in Maine. After David and I met at Boston university in 2005 (at a frat party during the biggest snow storm of the year!), I knew the first place I had to take him was home to Maine, and as soon as he saw it, he was hooked. After seven years of holidays, birthdays, beach days and all the seafood you can eat, David decided Kennebunkport was the only place he could imagine proposing. He asked me to be his wife on Christmas Eve after a horse-drawn carriage brought us to a bench overlooking the rocks and the ocean. He was nervous as he got down on one knee, while I was totally surprised and replied with, “Is this for real?!” Thankfully, it was! My mother offered to host an entire weekend of celebrations devoted to our engagement for our parents and bridal party over Labor Day weekend, and we eagerly accepted! We knew we had to take our engagement photos at the site of so many happy memories, and luckily, life led us to the amazing Briana Moore. She immediately put us at ease and captured the most beautiful images of our love for each other, as well as images from the official engagement party on the lawn of our home – it was a beautiful, nautical Maine affair! We couldn’t be more pleased with Briana Moore, and we are so thankful to her for capturing these memories that will last a lifetime. Our wedding will take place in October 2013 in Chicago (David’s hometown and where we currently live), and we couldn’t be more excited!
