Fun fact: I love love love Brooklyn and all things New York City history, i.e. I’ve read about 3 books (and counting) in the past year just on the subject and my most adored sections are the ones in beautiful Brooklyn. From the Bride… After having been dating for seven years and engaged for an additional 1.5, the first priority we had for our wedding was “get married.” The second goal was “throw a great party.” The idea of a large, formal affair was just not who we were anymore, if it ever had been — no ball gowns and bouquet tosses for this couple.
Once we decided that we were going to have a smaller, more low-key affair, having it in Brooklyn was an absolute no brainer! We wanted it to be in our old neighborhood in Cobble Hill, where we went on our first dates, moved into our first apartment together and shared so many wonderful memories. I was so worried that everything in this super-cute neighborhood would be well outside our price range, but, boy, was I wrong! Frankies 457 seemed like the ideal location with the stable and garden as the perfect backdrop for our garden-inspired party. When we found out how reasonable they were on price, we booked it!
From our natural and fun flowers to our cat-centric topper, and all our DIY projects in between, I think we hosted a party that we were both pretty proud of — and that we think everyone loved. I’m also so glad we have our amazing pictures from the best photographer for our keepsakes. :)
