From Dreamlove Photography… Nancy and Zach tied the knot at the rustic Webster Barn in Hyde Park, Vermont, but this wasn’t your average barn wedding. These two, who hail from the fashion world in New York City, wove elegant and classic details into their day, creating a truly unique blend of both rustic and outdoor vibes with seamless style. For table centerpieces, they filled galvanized tubs with a mix of earthy wildflowers and fresh artichokes. They covered hay bales with super-soft crepe fabric to add additional seating around the dance floor, and they created a very cool DIY escort seating chart with skeleton keys and chalkboard style paper. Nancy and Zach were enamored with a light installation they had seen at a Wilco concert, so they decided to re-create it as a focal point in the barn. Using semi-sheer white handkerchiefs, they covered a wall of cafe string lights to design an eye-catching and whimsical light structure during the reception (that later doubled as the photo booth backdrop!). A good friend of theirs also designed one of the most entertaining and mesmerizing sound installations in the field next to their ceremony site outdoors. He used solar panels to power dozens of speakers, which would emit different pitches of what sounded like wind chimes to create an eerie but very calming song of alternating notes. It also provided hours of entertainment for “little guests,” as they could block the sun from hitting the solar panel and cause the sound to stop suddenly. The evening was topped off with a dazzling impromptu display of the northern lights!
