This next little number is the perfect example of why I just adore when contemporary and classic styles do a little tango. It’s a pretty dance made possible by the talents of By Invitation Only…Event Planning & Design and the Bride’s vision of her lovely day. From the Bride… We met during their sophomore year of college at the University of South Carolina. We were living on different floors of the same dorm and met through a mutual friend. We became fast friends and, in time, began dating. Seven years later, and we’re still inseparable! We had plenty of time to think about what kind of wedding we wanted and how to make it more personal to us. When we first walked in to 701 Whaley, we just knew it was exactly what we had been looking for in a venue. We loved the exposed beams and the modern feel. This was the direction we wanted to take with the wedding. Choosing the color scheme was easy. I knew I wanted to incorporate a contrasting color to go with black and gray, and yellow was our favorite. We decided to incorporate a graphic chevron pattern in the details to keep with a modern feel, and we loved the results!
