Sometimes a group of fabulous vendors come together and the result is nothing short of wedding day magic. Pairing the likes of design and styling by Carter & Cook Event Co., dahlias and the prettiest pink florals by The Floral Lab and images of all the goodness captured by We Heart Photography make for said magic. The kind of magic that’s beautifully feminine without scaring the Groom away, effortless in design and thoughtfully crafted from beginning to end. In other words, the gallery is a must. See it all right here.
From the Bride… Our is the classic scenario of sweet friendship turned to beautiful romance. Every step — from friendship, to dating, and eventually, our wedding day — was a natural progression of mutual growth and love. As a couple, we are very outdoorsy, therefore we really wanted our wedding to be all outdoors. We desired for our guests to feel like they could disconnect from the craziness of life and just enjoy themselves in nature. With big oak trees and mandatory shuttle service to the site, our venue provided a unique environment where guests were able to do just that. We hoped to create an evening that mimicked the relational & aesthetic tones of a glamorous garden party. Nate and I built the cornhole/bean bag toss set for the lawn games area. Nate constructed the set, I sewed the bean bags, and we painted them together. Of course, we had to test them out to be sure they worked for our guests, so we played in our front yard for a few hours the week before our wedding. They worked great!
Without a doubt, the best part of the day was the ceremony. The day was beautiful in every way: the flowers, the decor, the community that surrounded us. It was all so beautiful. Although, my favorite moment of the day was when I was able to make life promises to my best friend in front of our friends and family. Hearing Nate’s vows and seeing in his eyes our future together was more than I could have ever hoped or planned. That beautiful moment in our wedding day made all the other beautiful elements to our day radiate more brilliantly.
My advice is to not sweat the small stuff, and in fact, don’t sweat the big stuff either. Enjoy the process as much as you can, but savor every moment, knowing that at the end of the day you get to be married! Ultimately, on that special day, that is all that matters!
