From the Bride... Jeff and I were set up by a dear friend of both of ours, Alison Bowe, four years ago. We were both getting out of relationships, and Alison told each of us about the other but waited over three months to make the introduction. She waited until her birthday party and had us talk with one another casually, and once we walked away, she told us both "that is the guy/girl." When Jeff asked for my number, Alison insisted that he call and ask me out properly (no texting or random e-mails.) :) Our first date was a full moon kayak in Sausalito to the Golden Gate on one of those incredible warm nights. The rest, as they say, is history.
Cavallo Point was a special place for us because it was where our first date was. We also spend a good deal of time in Sausalito/Marin headlands and have had many date days and nights on the Cavallo Point deck and in Murray Bar. We loved the fire pits and had special H blankets to keep everyone warm at night. A very special place, very close to our heart.
Our families are very important to us and we wanted them to be a part of our special day as much as possible. We had the moms participate in the candle ceremony, and we had Jeff's parents wedding topper (Joe and Claudia — 49 years!), as well as the story of when they first met by the cake.
